Lambing Experience
We can’t wait to welcome you to our farm during one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year—lambing season! Please read the details below carefully before booking your tickets to ensure the best possible experience for everyone while prioritizing health and safety.
What is the Lambing Experience?
- Visit our farm during lambing season, when over 1,300 ewes (mummy sheep) are due to give birth!
- Learn all about sheep and the incredible care that goes into lambing time.
- Get hands-on by feeding the sheep and, if you’re lucky, witness the birth of a lamb (though this can’t be guaranteed).
- Finish the experience with cuddling lambs and plenty of photo opportunities!
How Long Does It Last?
- Your booked slot will last 1 hour, with Duncan and Rebecca guiding you throughout.
Health and Safety Guidelines
At Arnprior Farm, the health and safety of our visitors, animals, and staff are our highest priorities. Please read the following carefully:
Age Policy
- The experience is strictly for school-age children (5 years and older) and adults. For safety reasons, children under 5 cannot attend.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult, and both the child and the adult require a ticket.
Pregnancy Advisory
- If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are trying for a baby, we advise you not to take part in this experience. There are risks associated with lambing environments, including infections that could harm you or your baby.
Hygiene Requirements
- Handwashing: We provide handwashing facilities and stress the importance of maintaining a high level of hygiene during your visit.
- Gloves: We will provide latex gloves for additional safety.
- Please avoid touching your face, eating, or drinking in the lambing area.
Clothing and Footwear
- Wear outdoor clothing that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Waterproofs are recommended.
- Wellies or sturdy outdoor footwear are essential to ensure safety around the animals and farm environment.
Important Notes
- The farm environment can be unpredictable, so it’s important to follow instructions from Duncan and Rebecca at all times.
- Failure to adhere to these guidelines, including age and pregnancy policies, may result in being asked to leave the experience.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
